From Assessing the Impact of a Tablet-PC-based Classroom Interaction System by Kimberle Koile and David Singer, MIT
"Tablet PCs offered the opportunity to be truly integrated in the learning activities. The effect of learning activities that focus on creating and evaluating information, generating and capturing designs and analyzing and re-working them, and collaborating to experiment with digital objects was maximized by adopting tablet PCs in higher education classrooms. Students used tablet PCs in the group projects working with other classmates and interacting with the instructor. The main advantage of using tablet PCs in class was reported to be in supporting group projects that 13 included designing and sketching. The students reported most frequently that the greatest advantage of using tablet computer in class is in facilitating interactions both among students and between students and the instructor."
